Hexagram of the heavens

One of the side effects of living only 40 minutes from Manchester is that, with the increase in air traffic, Manchester Airport now has many more arrivals.

Warslow falls under one of the flight paths into Manchester and is thankfully just far enough away to mean that aircraft are still at a pretty high altitude.

When we get a particularly red dawn, the vapour trails can look pretty spectacular.

This shot of Ecton Hill from the garden at Ivy House Farm was taken with my old Fuji Finepix last summer.
