A dramatic start!
This month started dramatically with our daughter, Flora, being born unexpectedly at home, having decided she couldn't wait to get to Macclesfield hospital. It's a good job the guys had finished for the day or there would have been an audience on the scaffolding!

The roof was finally completed and looked fantastic with a straight ridge and even tiles.

The window in the east gable end was removed and extended with Henry and Larry again cutting and shaping new quoins and and a sill.

You can see how lucky we were with the weather - not a drop of rain for the whole re-roof!

Re-pointing of the upper part of the barn was also completed this month as the top tier of scaffolding was needed to carry out an emergency re-roof on our bothy which had been holed in the earlier gales.
